  • This is the first episode of American Dad! to be written and directed by women.
  • When Stan and Avery look down at the victim that Stan says he killed, they break out singing "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen.
  • Yello's "Oh Yeah" plays as Randy cruises in his "ice cream truck."
  • In the scene when Stan and Hayley return from picking berries, they are both wearing crocs.
  • Randy's fake ice cream truck has right-hand drive.
  • At the end of the episode, Klaus panics to figure out the last line of the episode, but when it becomes too late, He shouts out "No! No Fox Local News!". This is a nod to American Dad!'s normal airing of 9:30 on Fox, which is then followed by the 10:00 Fox News Channel. The line is retained on all additional airings.
  • One of the potential people that Stan's friends try to convince Stan to kill is Mark Reisman, creator of the 2004-2005 sitcom Quintuplets.
  • Stan said he wouldn't kill a man named James, because his name is similar to Jim Davis, the cartoonist who created Garfield.
  • Although this episode claims Stan has never killed a man himself, he had in fact killed Jackson's double in "It's Good to Be the Queen", Jay Leno in "Stan of Arabia: Part 1", accidentally disintegrates Eric in "I Can't Stan You, shot a raccoon out of mercy in "Francine's Flashback" and thought he killed another one to recreate the moment, and accidentally killed Steve's dog in the Pilot.
  • Stan enters the bedroom where Francine anticipates celebrating his first kill though what is normally the en-suite bathroom. Additional furniture not normally present is also seen.
  • According to the episode's commentary, at the table read for this episode, when the crew read the extended DVD cut of the vibrator scene, every male in the room blushed. Similarly, at the 2007 Comic-Con table read for the episode also on the DVD, Wendy Schaal is visibly nervous when reading the scene.
