Donnie Patterson is a bully that gave Steve a black eye prior to "It's Good to Be the Queen". When pizza man Mitch has Steve confront Donnie, he finds out Donnie is reacting to the torment his own father, Coach Patterson, inflicts on him. Donnie tearfully admits this but promises to beat Steve up in school for seeing him cry, and Steve says he will let him.

Stan passes Donnie in the crowd when he arrives at Vince Chung's party in "Helping Handis".

Donnie and his father search for Steve who is ducking gym class in "The American Dad After School Special".
