"Escape", later known as "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)", was the highest-charting hit for Rupert Holmes. The song was the last US number one song of the 1970s and the second number one song of the 1980s. It is the only song on the Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart to rise to the #1 position in two different decades.
In "The Unbrave One", Greg Corbin and Terry Bates' doorbell plays "Escape" which prompts Roger to start singing the song until he is interrupted. Roger is interrupted on a second attempt before finally getting Steve, Stan and Francine, director Joe Daniello and a transvestite to join in in the end.
Roger: Now, Steve?
Roger: If you like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain
And the feel of the ocean (Everyone joins in)
All: And the taste of champagne
If you like making love at midnight, in the dunes of the cape
Bass Transvestite: I'm the lady you've looked for, come with me, and escape
