: Bored with her daily routine, Francine snaps when the family objects to her okra dinner. But despite his warnings, Roger passes lethal gas into the Smith house, necessitating an evacuation to a hotel while the fumes clear. Bored when she finds herself with nothing to do, Francine passes by a convention in the hotel and finds herself mistaken for an attendee who was killed in an accident on the way. At first is just intended to be a one-day fling, but soon becomes drawn to her new lifestyle. Assuming her new life, Francine becomes a hit at the convention and receives a job offer in Portland. Francine abandons her family and finds herself becoming successful working in the construction business. Ten years later as a successful businesswoman, Francine passes by the old house on her way to a new convention and sees that Stan has married another woman. Both he and Steve have moved on with their lives. Meeting the old hotel concierge, takes his advice on time travel and goes back to stop her younger self from leaving her family. Francine happily finds herself back in her old life with setting aside a day a week just for herself.
Meanwhile, Steve becomes drawn to a portrait of a woman where the concierge explains that the portrait was painted in 1981. He is told that if he uses the power of his mind, he can will himself to travel in time back to meet his dream girl. He successfully travels though time and meets the artist who painted the portrait but is drugged and stripped while unconscious. When he awakens the artist reveals that Steve himself is the girl in the painting and the shock returns him to his own time where the concierge reveals that he too had traveled through time to be painted as a girl as well.
