Lindsay was the Smith's regular babysitter until she had her leg broken in a soccer match in "Adventures in Hayleysitting". As a result of her injuries, she developed a staph infection that causes her leg to need to amputated. But as she worries about losing her scholarship, the infection spreads to her heart, killing her. When Hayley and Steve desperately need help to push Francine's car home, Lindsay's spirit appears to help them out.
